Our Services

Counselling

This practice involves using an integrated approach of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy for children between the ages of 8-18 as well as for young adults. The purpose of psychotherapy is to develop a connection which allows clients to feel safe, open and accepted.

Assessments

Psychological assessments are conducted from the age of 3 years and upwards. These assessments are used to address a variety of concerns such as school readiness, learning barriers, specific learning disorders, anxiety, emotional difficulties and intellectual impairment. The assessment will determine whether a child requires Psychotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Remedial Education or placement in a school that caters for special needs.

Play Therapy

Non-directive Play Therapy is offered to children between the ages of 3 – 8 years. The purpose of Play Therapy is to assist a child in expressing their emotions, thoughts, wishes and needs. It assists children in understanding their feelings and allows the therapist to have a glimpse into their inner world.

Career Assessment / Subject Choice Assessment:

Both Career and Subject Choice Assessments focus on the individual’s personality, interests, work values and aptitude to determine a direction and way forward in terms of either future studies or career path.

Medico-legal Assessments:
